UI/UX that engages and boosts the NPS

To ensure users enjoyed using the platform, we relied heavily on user interviews and research from the very beginning, walking a mile in a future user’s shoes. We iterated through multiple wireframes and prototypes until we settled on the ideal look, feel, and behavior for the platform.

As a result, the marketplace has seen an improvement across a number of engagement metrics. For instance, the drop-off rate declined by 34%, while the average session duration increased by 23%. The interface’s convenience and smooth user flows also helped the brand win over its users’ hearts: the marketplace’s NPS rose by 17% after our design’s launch.

Perfect brand identity alignment

We used a minimalistic design approach to emphasize the marketplace’s functionality, make CTAs easy to spot, and improve usability. The selected color scheme – white, blue, orange, and pastel shades – added a serene feel that reflected our client’s brand.

Thanks to our focus on brand identity alignment, Flowmingo quickly established itself as a recognizable, memorable brand that stands out among a swath of direct and indirect competitors. Design consistency and its appeal also helped Flowmingo foster trust in its brand among potential users.

Signup that removes friction

Our client was adamant that signup should be as easy as possible for new users. We heeded the client’s request and kept the signup page as concise as possible. We added responsive password strength verification and social media signup options using Google, Facebook, and Apple REST APIs to streamline the experience even further.

Removing friction from the signup user flow ensured there were no roadblocks to converting visitors into registered users. At the same time, strong password enforcement secured accounts against brute-force unauthorized access.

Smooth search and booking

To help customers find what they’re looking for, we added a powerful keyword-based search, along with location, session type, and other filters. As for booking, we made it easy with a short questionnaire for selecting the session’s time, place, type, and trainer. Users can also view all upcoming sessions in a calendar.

The convenience of finding and booking the session the user has been looking for became a key selling point for our client’s marketplace. Ensuring all user flows remained frictionless contributed to the increase in engagement metrics and net promoter scores. The time to find and find ability rate also rose by 12% and 14%, respectively.

Video call integrations

Besides social media signup and login and multiple payment methods, we also implemented integrations with Google Meet and Zoom. Thanks to these integrations, users can easily schedule and access online sessions from their account.

These seamless integrations save time for both instructors and their customers, removing another key source of friction present in some other wellness marketplaces. The decision to add these integrations allowed Flowmingo to gain an extra competitive advantage, all while improving its NPS and engagement metrics.

Checkout that takes mere seconds

The checkout supports multiple payment methods, such as Stripe and M-Pesa, with an automated tax calculation right on the page. Payment types are also diverse: users can pay for memberships, group sessions, and individual classes. On top of that, we added a donation feature so that customers could tip their coaches.

Diverse payment methods and types provided wellness instructors with the freedom to charge customers and accept payments as they prefer. The option to receive donations was also praised by the marketplace’s early users as a potential extra revenue stream. At the same time, the simplicity of the checkout allowed us to prevent drop-off and boost conversions.
